During the length of my work with Summit Media, my boyfriend and I always eat at the yard. Every time he'll fetch me from the office, we would drop by and eat dinner. The Yard in Oranbo Pasig, near Nice Hotel and in front of Dahlia Hotel is the best spot to hang out after work. The ones who are managing it never failed to find a parking spot for us despite of having many cars parked into it. They have an audio system wherein they will call customers who owns a particular car by plate number when someone is about to go out already. This is one of the remarkable things I noticed in The Yard compared to other food parks who don't care about parked cars. Aside from making life easy, their audio system also plays the latest songs.
The aesthetic of the whole plays matches the music that they are playing. A really great place to release stress and enjoy the night.
Of course food can't be gone in this place. For the stress eaters like me, this one's for you!
So far we've tried 5 food carts in The Yard Pasig.
#1 - Lost Bread
The lost bread sells the tastiest milkshake in town! And what's my basis? My boyfriend who has tried almost all of the milkshakes in town. The milkshake is thick and frothy. You can taste the milkiness while enjoy bits of chocolate and marshmallow.
Unfortunately that time most of their milkshakes are not available that's why we were only able to buy 1 kind, which is the Bonfire Milkshake.
Their milkshake prices ranges from 180 php to 230 php. They also sell ice creams ranging from 85 php to 95 php.
It's not only tasty but affordable if you're in a tight budget!
#2 - Pound 4 Pound
Pound 4 Pound is another notable food stall in the yard. Why? Not only do they sell the tastiest, juiciest, and affordable burgers but also because of their amazing food service! Me and my boyfriend were always sitting in the middle part of the yard, where the tents are, and it is quite far from most food stalls.
Some food stalls don't deliver the food to the customer's table and rather let the customer pick it up from the stall (if they are sitting in a far place), but in Pound 4 Pound they go deliver the amazing, fresh, hot burgers to your table even if you're sitting far away from them, or in the 2nd floor.
Their burgers are so delicious that when I took bite, the juices of the patty even came out. You can definitely taste that it is grilled not fried.
The one that we ordered is their Classic Cheeseburger for only 130 php.
Their burger prices range from 130 php to 200 php.
Not only that! They have an enormous root beer float for only 90 php!
#3 - Birdmen
One night, I was extremely tired from work and wanted to eat something heavy, so I looked for a meal with rice. The first stall that I saw was birdmen. They have this Solo 1 pc chicken with 2 sides and 2 dips. The chicken is glazed but I didn't noticed it because it was coated with some powder flavoring. I expected it to be a bit salty but to my surprise it was sweet. The glaze around it was a sweet honey like sauce but however it didn't matched the seasonings. I tried putting on the dips but it still didn't worked for me.
I guess I was just surprised that it was sweet, but hey! Don't get me wrong, I like the sweetness of the honey glazed chicken of Bon chon, and it was something near to that. However, it's just the spices/seasonings are too strong that it's so contrast with the sweetness.
It got 2 free sides in which I chose Rice and Potato chips.
Their prices range from 180 php to 199 php.
They also have a platter for 499 php
#4 - Macho Lucha Taco Shack
Now this is one of my favorite food stalls in The Yard.
Macho Lucha serves plenty of Nachos that can feed 3 to 4 people! Not only that, it also tastes soooooo amazing! They have a bigger platter which is served in a tray (literally!) and probably can feed your whole family! The price is so worth it because not only it has a lot of servings but also the taste is not mediocre. Every nacho piece is covered in cheese, onions, bacon and more!
Their price ranges from 180 php to 249 php
Their huge platters of nachos and tacos are around 250/300 php onwards (I forgot omg, I'm sorry! huhu)

#5 - The Cheesery

The cheesery, from the name itself is definitely for the Cheese lovers. They cook their food in a cheese raclette, and all of their food are served with tons of melting cheese. I ordered bacon bits with cheese dip before and my boyfriend ordered a cheese burger.
The Cheese burger is definitely pouring with melted cheese, and my bacon bits has a lot of cheese bits around, served with a delicious melted cheese dip. AND! it comes with a free Grape Seed Juice served in a huge jar that you can't definitely finish. (I swear!)
Their price ranges from 235 php to 350 php.
The burger got fries on the side, and it was as big as the middle of a plate! Definitely worth it!
If you're looking for an affordable place with great food to celebrate your birthday, treat a lot of people, or even to relax after a stressful week, The Yard is the perfect place to go!
The aesthetic + The service + The food = Great Night! (just wish that it won't rain, although they have tents, it'll be nicer to eat under a clear starry sky)
The Yard - Oranbo Pasig is open from 4pm to 12 am. Don't be afraid to bring a car because there's always a parking space, attendants will gladly assist you and guard your cars to make sure they are safe! And Don't forget to bring your friends and/or family to fully enjoy the night!
